I tested this out a couple of months ago and it looked bad imo. 1440p should not be on anything higher than 27 inches. The model under this looked great.

Did you mean that 1440p shouldn't be on a monitor less than 27 inches?

Hmm. Had my eye on the AOC equivalent to this one. The AOC is $100 less for what I think are the same specs.

The AOC is a steal...I'm kicking myself for not getting an AMD card.

I don't think the AOC has HDR or Quantom Dot though?

Greater than 27" I'm sure. DPI wise, 32"@1440p pars with 24"@1080p.

I've been using a 32" 1440p HP Envy since late 2014. The dpi and fonts were an issue at the start, but you do get over it, and overall it wasn't such a bad trade-off (display real estate over a denser dpi). Trust me when I say this, once you do 32" as a monitor, you can't go back.

Other thoughts: 4K wasn't a realistic option at the time as a gamer, but now it is. Freesync, curved, and HDR in monitors is the future, but 1440p is not. Take that into consideration. Overall not bad, but 1440p is the new 1080p Wink

Thanks for your input. I'm a fan of more real estate since my needs are more productivity related and I don't game any longer. Curved 4k monitor is my preference and ultra wide would be nice to have.

All the reviews say the Samsung has much better colors. They use the same panel but the quality is far from the same.

Agreed. It was fine for movies and even gaming, but the desktop environment looked unsharp. The HDR colors were quite good though, if this was 4K it would be amazing.

If this was 4K, you would lose 144hz which is exactly what this monitor is used for: gaming.

There is no monitor that can do everything yet, and when that does get released later this year, expect price tags at around 1500+.
