Saw this at my Walmart. Whole pallet of them. Regularly $60, so I passed.

Hope you can get one.
Did see some for $15 but couldn't find any store with stock, but found some for $14 @ zip 60008 to use for DPP.

This one uses a bit less than 2 gallons, or $20 in oil. The outdoor fryers use about 3 gallons.

But the oil cost and hassle has always been one more reason to smoke my turkeys. I'd consider a Big Easy if I ever found an awesome deal, though. It's infra-red cooking is pretty similar to frying.

I've had a big easy, they make a decent bird but nothing beats fried

But TBH, fried is just a pita, so best to find friends that make that and go to their house for Thanksgiving

$20 in oil is way too expensive imo, good info though

But it tastes so good being fried. $20.00 for some good food isn't much to me.

We have basically this same thing, but it's branded Butterball. I was surprised how well this worked TBH. Cleanup was much easier than I thought it would be. I still fried our turkey outside as I still don't trust that much molten hot oil in the house.

Anyone concerned about oils costs know that oil can be reused.
