Groupon has the Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away XL Capacity UV795 Upright Vacuum for $149.99 + tax. Expires 2/5.

I've never owned a Shark vacuum before but was in the market since my 10 year old Dyson just died. I ordered one. If anyone can give input on this model in particular it may help. it's the XL capacity powered lift away. Seems to be new and priced less than some refurbished units?

I bought mine from Costco about a year ago and its been great. I like it better than the Dyson DC41 Animal it replaced (grandma decided to suck ash from the fireplace). Hoped that Costco would do a price drop at some point for a buy/return with old receipt but they replaced the model instead.

Did they replace the Dyson model or the shark model with a newer model? Price-wise with this deal, the comparable at Costco is the Navigator Professional Lift Away. I'm not sure which model number it is.

We've had two Shark Lift-Away vacuums. The first one lasted about five years before the hose down by the wheels cracked. Unfortunately, the hose couldn't be purchased separately, so it wasn't worth fixing. Our second is still going strong after two years.

Since we have three dogs, including one Husky, and five cats, there is pet hair is everywhere. The Lift-Away is fantastic in that situation. It picks up all of the hair, and it's easy to empty.

The bare floor attachment with the fabric duster is friggin' awesome, and the under the furniture attachment isn't too bad either.

The things I don't like about it:

1. The way the hose attaches to the vacuum to keep it out of the way is junk. The hose just falls off constantly, so it's not worth using.

2. When you just release the hose from the vacuum, without going full lift-away, the vacuum tips over way too easily, but that's a common complaint with most upright vacs.

3. The hose is too short.

They replaced the model in OP with the DuoClean one. I paid $250 for the model in OP because it was needed immediately to finish prepping my house for sale.
