So what you're saying is this is a different laptop.

Specs seem decent!
Wish it was a I5 but for the price, I'm guessing it's hard to beat?

I'd live input before possibly getting it for my wife

For the price, it's not bad. Not great by any means, but not bad. In the grand scheme of things, it's mediocre at best but will handle most basic office & school type stuff if you don't push it. Meaning more than a few Excel & Word files open at a time will slow it down. And you can forget about programming anything more than an Arduino, Photoshop, or playing Minecraft on anything better than medium settings.

If you have the time, just keep watching for a better deal because it will come along. Who knows when though.

I get that the price is fairly low, but 8gb ram and SSD should be absolute requirements for a laptop in 2018.

Also, the DVD drive probably just adds weight and thickness for most people.

Does anyone know if they have these in store? I need a cheap laptop today and this would work fine.

Had to order mine, came in from Oakland and OOTB is making some kind of weird noise.
