Tello: Unlimited Texting & 100 Mins - $5 Month

Can't beat Tello's new prices anywhere, $5 per month + tax gets you:

Unlimited Texting (US/Canada/Mexico)

100 minutes (real numbers too, not the terrible VOIP system freedompop still uses)

The voice and texts do not require 4g data to use. Support has been great for me as well. Have been using pay as you go and plans occasionally since Feb 2017.

Real voice, unlimited 2G, no erroneous charges and no being sent to collections.

Tello is pretty solid if Sprint works for ya. Got one Rent on the $10.00 333 minute plan which does not expire if used occasionally. Got the other Rent, who is in an independent living facility, on unlimited talk for $15.00 per month. They're both sporting Flippers. It can be a little difficult finding phones that work on Tello.

I think Tello is way better than Freedompop for a quite a few reasons. I think the most important are:

#1 No voip voice (FreedomPop has voip)

#2 Unlimited 2G Data for Emails and Facebook Messenger after your 200MB LTE runs out

#3 Unlimited texting on all plans

#4 Incredible customer service that actually is helpful

#5 You only pay for the service you customize for yourself.

I have a Nexus 5 with Tello for this exact purpose. Paste your phones' IMEI number into the BYOD checker to see if its a fit with Tello.

Contact Sprint through their forums. Some technicians there can actually load any unlocked phones' MEID into their whitelist system that is compatible with CDMA.

Tello's CS is great. I sent them an email with an issue in the middle of the night and got a response 30min later.

Anyone try "unlimited" 2G music streaming? Need unlimited for motorcycle rides/offline GPS. Hate to get away from all my FP accounts but Google Voice calls have been terrible, and im in great Sprint service areas.
