I'd like to buy it, but I don't want some POS Chinese dime-a-dozen "brand" name on my door that everyone has to see. Why do they have to put it there? It's not like they're trying to establish some brand identity, they'll just be stamped with some other name in a couple weeks.

Its like a dollar cheaper than the popular brands. Wish there was zigbee/zwave integration.

You just get one receiver, so only good if you live in a studio. This one comes with 2 receivers, has better reviews and a longer range -- for $2 more.

Know what this is good for? A quick way to summon your kid from their room. Cheaper than an intercom and easier than calling on a cell phone. No more yelling up the stairs.
Plus there are many annoying chimes. Pick the worse and your child will answer the first time you ring.
I've had one for years.

Brilliant!

We just leave our doorbell disconnected. The only people that use it are unexpected visitors such as Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, or solicitors. Everyone else we know is coming and look out for them.

Tenswall is like the Vertu of doorbells. Buy it. Be judged by your doorbell.

What's a decent replacement chime if you're already wired for a 12v buzzer but can't stand the harsh sound it makes? Nothing fancy, $5-$10 tops.

Although, if it has a range of sounds or is WiFi-enabled so you can have it send you an alert when you're not home, a higher price would be ok.

Come to think of it, I can probably build the latter myself with an ESP8266, so let's stick to the cheaper, non-WiFi version.

Put a piece of tape, with your last name, on it. Or a quirky phrase.
