the 2 USB ports on this model drive the price up a bit... 11/12 outlet surge strips without should normally be 13-17$ on sale. if somebody needs/wants the USBs, this is a good price.

I do not have an answer to your question but just thinking out loud and adding on to your thought.

I feel like it would be almost impossible to make a claim on any surge protector. How could you prove it or a company believing your story? You could essentially take a handful of broken electronics due to power failure. Say they were plugged in and went out due to this product failing. Just seems like one of those things you buy to reduce the risk of them getting broken.

I personally have had no issues with this but my father did have two sound bars go out during a storm. They were connected to a surge but did not proceed further with trying at a claim.

You are expected to produce findings from an independent lab stating apc equipment was at fault. This will cost few thousand dollars+, only then APC would consider the claim and may request additional information. Mind you expense of determining fault is non reimbursable.

Is it possible, sure. Is it practical not really.

www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA156534 Above was my experience about 10 years ago when we lost $6k server after transformer explosion on the street. Server had depreciated value of $2k so we never processed with claim and took it as a loss.

I have Prime account and some non-Prime ones. I was able to order one from each account although the non-Prime is slow but still free shipping.
