This is what I keep trying to figure out. Priced like North Face or Columbia, but the few times I've seen the brand in store around here it's been mediocre to low quality. Is it just me or is some of their stuff actually good?

I have the Supercharger 800 fill down jacket and it's kept me warm in -15 *F weather when I had icicles on my eye lashes. I also have the Monkey Man Grid II jacket and it's nice for cooler days, but isn't the greatest for super windy days. I've had to use a wind layer with it before.

Mtn Hardwear is owned by Columbia. It's kind of their premium line, but this stuff is sort of the bottom of the barrel from them. Clearance

I bought a MH "Gravitor" coat from REI in 2012 for $68 - it seemed the nylon outer surface was thin and fragile; I was pleased to find it rsistant to snags, etc. and was very happy with its quality up to when I sent it in for a zipper repair in early January '18. About 3 weeks later I received a certificate for $281 to use on their site. I bought my daughter and myself a new coat.

Very happy with MH right now.

Everything MH that I own (down vest, down jacket, rain jacket, beanies, gloves, and backpack) has been rock solid. I'm sure like every brand, they have premium, mid-shelf, and budget level items, but they have earned my continued business.

not a single review of this jacket - what temperatures would u guys wear this jacket in? (assuming you'd only wear a t-shirt inside)

Would this work in 30-40 degree weather with only a t-shirt inside? NYC Winter?
