Comes up as $99 for me and the coupon is a $20 discount bringing it to $79.99 not $69.

Nevermind, I forgot to apply the additional $10 coupon. You have to clip the coupon and apply the code. My fault.

How slick is this deal? How does it compare to the 2600 model that was on sale for the same price just a few days ago? Should I just hold out for one of the Asus' that everyone seems to be crazy for?

I need a new router but am no expert on the subject. My old Arris router has to be reboot multiple times a day and randomly drops me while gaming.

i got this router back in July 2016 for $89 and it has been super strong Recently one of the frequencies (5GHz) stopped working. Dealing with their support is terrible! Their level 1 support is available on the phone however level 2 support (based in china) is only available via email. It takes them 24 hours to reply back to your email and is frustrating. BTW, they are sending me another router. Hopefully that will fix the issue

I've had this router for over a year. I personally would not recommend it. It looks cool but is a complete disaster to mount or put anywhere. The last firmware update on this was 10.18.2016. Coverage is spotty in my house. The interface is not very intuitive. I did run DD-WRT on it for a while. I had to really mess with dd-wrt to get my Roku Streaming sticks to recognize the 5ghz band. I reverted it back to stock firmware and have debated selling it. Its been a paper weight ever since. Not really a fan of tp-link products anymore. I think the support is really lacking on these devices...

That's weird. I had benchmarked this extensively to a few other "strong" routers in the segment, like Asus RT-AC68U, Netgear R7000. This is at least fairly comparable, if not better in terms of throughput and coverage. Also the review from Small Network Builder indicating it has excellent range. I would always give it a thumb up at this price!
