10% off at the moment. No free shipping compared to some older deals but still a good price.

Previous reviews and deals have determined this to be an AHVA panel (not to be confused with VA) which is a variant of IPS

I bought this monitor when it was on sale for 379.99.

Picture is fantastic, assuming you don't care about HDR. That is the only thing making me not regret getting it.

Monitor quality is suspect. I RMAd my first one for flickering on and off, and the replacement still has some weird things like the service menu occasionally appearing when I turn on the monitor and brief flashes of screen corruption on rare occasions.

HDR is a joke - the monitor doesn't have the brightness for it - it is lower than Dell's sorry excuse for HDR.

Monitor controls are just plain dumb, all tied to a joystick-style control that is very hard to use.

I also get a Netflix error when using the Windows 10 app that they say is related to the display. Probably some copy protection BS, which I suppose is par for the course when using an off-brand monitor like this one. It works in Edge, which is apparently the only browser that does Netflix in 4K.

Not even sure if 4k monitors are even out that support anything higher than 60hz

..and unless you have a 1080Ti you won't be able to push beyond that anyway, if you even make it to 60hz in newer games.

Be careful, the last "AHVA" monitor deal from monoprice turned out was probably a TN panel (https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors...it-android). Also turns out monoprice censors their product questions and reviews. I have been happy with my limited purchases from them, but am a little wary of buying anything expensive.

I have this monitor side by side with a Samsung 4K TN panel and it's obviously not one. The viewing angles are much higher and the colors don't shift with viewing angle the way the Samsung's do. It really is a great-looking monitor.

Was it hard to RMA? Did you have to pay return shipping?

It was easy to RMA and I did not have to pay return shipping. It did take quite a while since it was over the holidays.

AHVA is not a version of a TN panel. It is basically AUOs version of LGs IPS tech.

I've RMA'd (replacement) a monitor with Monoprice several years ago for a 1440p monitor. They were extremely responsive and quick to replace. They paid shipping. Have had some issues with cables which they were just as responsive with also.

I talked to an agent recently and she said if there's absolutely any manufacturing issue (including a single pixel), they'll take care of shipping. If you just change your mind or don't like the monitor that's a different story that you'll face with most other retailers.

Mine comes in tomorrow to compare against the LG 32" 4k to see if I'll order another. fingers crossed!

Monoprice has good spec, decent quality and great price. Just the build is crappy. Mine old ones seem just shaky.

How does this one feel?
