If not using this as a monitor, explain why 720P is bad on a 32" Tv.

Hilarious...I think it's a SD because it has a year warranty, includes a remote with batteries, free shipping and returns, has solid reviews on Amazon, and I could use my Dell epromo gift card to pay for it. You think that a $75 TV is a bad deal because it isn't 4k UHD. Sorry, there's also no one that eats rainbows and poops butterflies.

It's not $75. It is $150+tax with a $75 promo card that expires in 90 days. Unless you know of a magical way to deposit dell promo cards into a bank account, then they don't reduce the purchase price.

Who said anything about 4k, just 1080p would be fine, but 720p? What year is it, 2006?

A penny saved is a penny earned. If you've ever bought a dell deal on here you have a dell gift card. After that it's a never ending cycle of spend gift card (and some cash), get a product at reduced price and a gift card.

I would avoid Dell deals with gift cards, you would need to buy something with that gift card to utilize it. Then end up spending more than you think you can save.

Unless you're sitting within 5' of the TV, it's not.

A lot of people get small TV's like this for dorms or other tight spaces where they may be sitting withing 5' of the TV. For them it would be worth it to spend more on a higher resolution TV.

But for a bedroom TV, kids room, or any application where you're not going to be sitting right in front of it, 720p is fine for this size.

Its one thing if people are complaining because its bundled with $75 Dell gift card which in reality has about $50 cash value.. but I don't understand the hate for 720p ON A 32" TV! Most people buying a TV this size aren't going to use it as their main TV.

Also, 4k really is not mainstream yet.. and at the pace they're going, it will be at least another year or 2. Heck, my direcTV doesn't even broadcast in 1080p signal.. and 4K TVs have been out for over 3 years. Its still 720p upscaled to 1080i. For a TV that costs under $100 which most likely will go in kitchen or a bedroom, 720p is fine.

So honestly anyone here using a 720p 32" as office computer second monitor? I dont care about games, graphics, etc. just want a larger monitor for my desk when sharing for small meeting or large spreadsheets.

I can definitley find use for the $75 GC on other items at Dell so I see some value in it.

It won't be very pleasant to look at. All your icons, documents, and other things will look bigger, and the downside is you have less workspace on the monitor. I would not recommend this as a monitor. For a cheap TV in guest room maybe.
