Used a tree tent like this before. The clamps are metal so don't be an idiot and take it backpacking. I thought I was going to die. Also, cold air flows underneath and collects moisture. Best to bring a sleeping bag to separate yourself from the bottom.

Other than that they're kinda cool.

Why did you think you're going to die? Was it heavy or something?

You're basically carrying three of these around... https://www.harborfreight.com/330...60689.html

If I remember right, my Stingray is about 15-17 lbs total.

Other issues, since I've never actually spent a night in mine yet, but have set it up a couple times.
-hard af to find three trees that are basically in a triangle, at least in Idaho.
-hard af to set it up by yourself
-heavy af

Probably gonna want an insulated sleeping pad or whatever you sleep with in a hammock under you at night.

Also, if you want one of these for even less, watch Craigslist, FB, etc... People buy them, set them up once or twice at a park (like me), and then sell them for half price. I got the higher end two person one for $240 a couple months ago... Again, I don't know why, besides I'm an idiot, but nonetheless now I have two of these. 😫

Heavy duty and harbor freight... Sentence doesn't make sense.

If you look at them, vs the same thing at HD, Lowes, Amazon... They're identical. HF sources a lot of their stuff from the same factories the other companies use for stuff like this. Don't get me wrong, HF sells a lot of trash, but read the reviews of the item on their website first and go from there. I have 4 of these straps and would trust them just as much as the similarly priced ones elsewhere... Except they're only $10-12 with coupon sometimes.

Bonus tho, they sell a ground cover for tents (or just a tarp) and these can be set up on the ground also.
