Fake deal. Trusting data to Chinese knockoffs is a bad idea.

I agree 100%. No way i'd trust my data with a drive like this.

I'd much rather spend $13.99 for peace of mind on this:

Heh, almost bought 2 until I read the comments, here and on Amazon. Looks like a cheaply-made and possibly overstated capacity Chinese drive (the kind where they hack the firmware to make it look to the OS like it has much more capacity than it really does and ends up overwriting data once it fills up more than its actual capacity), that won't last long and could lose data.

I don't really NEED another thumb drive, but I've been thinking of replacing the years-old mini 32GB plastic drives that I have on my key ring before they break off, with sturdy metal ones. I have backups and they're encrypted, but why take a chance. These don't appear to be that.

Microcenter, Fry's, B&H & Adorama, for starters. Amazon, Newegg, Staples & Best Buy when they run specials. It's kind of random. You see a sale and you pounce, and then figure out what to do with it.

I got a few 64GB brand name mirco SD 2 years ago for $15 each.
Now 32GB brand name mirco SD is around $15. What happen? Why does old tech get expensive?

I was thinking that too last year. But, I managed to snag a 256GB for $32, a 128GB for $22 & a 64GB for $12. The first via Google Express/Costco and the latter from Microcenter.

there is no Microcenter in WA state.
I didn't know Costco had sale on mirco SD.

They normally sell a 256GB Sandisk for $40, although I think it occasionally goes on sale for $30. I got it for $10 off + tax via Google Express. Also, I lived in Seattle for years and while there's no MC, there is Fry's, which has similar sales. Never drove to it since I hated driving over to the East Side.

Btw, you keep misspelling "micro" as "mirco". There is no "mirco".
