Mine just said bye bye other day. Wind gush took it out of the range from Bluetooth and it flew to the moon.

Was a new one like $300? I wonder why the refurb is so much less.

Have to use cell phone app to fly it, drone connects to the app via wifi - so the range is reported to be about 35 yards - reviews on Amazon are pretty telling.

Does anyone here have experience with it, and know what happens if it gets out of range? Is it bye-bye drone? If this thing goes 20 yards high, and 20 yards ahead, will it try to come back, or keep going til the battery dies?

Worth $40? I bought the Syma that was on here a few weeks ago for $15 and it was a lot of fun til the wind took it out of my neighborhood...

I bought one of these for hundreds of dollars when they were new. This will fly away. It's large and requires FAA registration, but has such a restricted range and no GPS to return to you, that it's essentially designed to fly away from you. If you get it, fly it in a big indoor space as a toy. If you want a real drone, get a DJI or something similar w/ GPS capability.

FAA UAV registration law was overturned. I bought one. They're easier to get than a library card.
I believe only pilots using drones for commercial purposes need any sort of registration.

I'm wrong. law changed back.
