Should prob mention its only 1080p

But that's to be expected for the price, gsync and refresh rate.

This is such perfect timing. I almost bought this for 500.00 at best buy (the g-sync model). I've been searching dell outlet looking at the refurbs.

Decided even for 500 it wasn't worth it...i'd still be upset at myself for paying for that for 1080p on a 25 inch and a TN panel.

So I was on newegg about to buy the 24 inch acer predator for 350.00. (since this would hold me over until I decided to get into 700-900.00 monitor land). I decided to refresh here before checking out and what do you know! Stupid alienware monitor I convinced myself not to get is on sale!

So yea, to me an extra 50.00 was worth it over the predator for a better looking TN panel.

Thanks OP!

Thanks OP for this. I had purchased one of these monitors around Christmas for $450 from Dell directly. It is a great monitor, but overkill for anyone who isn't heavily into fast-paced FPS etc. type games that benefit from the refresh rate.

Color out of box was very good, took minor adjustments to correct. I bought a second one for my secondary monitor just so they match with the thin bezel.

Good choice, my son has the predator and it looked horrible out of the box he wanted to return it. After some Tweaking it looked much better but he's used to my IPS panels Smilie

How much better woild thoa be compared to an MG278Q? I currently have that, but I also have a 1080. Really only play FPS now. I'd be downgrading from 27" to this, and downgrading from 2560x1440. But i would be jumping from 144hz to 240...

Gsync adds a huge premium, unfortunately.

If the only reason is to go from 144hz to 240 just keep your monitor this isn't something worth switching to imo.

Unless you really want g-sync I'd stay with what you have until you're ready to upgrade to something with the exact same stats as your MG278Q now without it being a TN panel

I ideally want a 30"+ 144hz panel, they're just so expensive.. I haven't seen gsync in person though, and the games I play can generally be at or close to 144, so I'm not exactly missing much. But again, I'm ignorant to gsync, and don't know if it could make my already stutter free(most of the time) experience better by a justifiable amount

99 inch, 99,000x55,688 resolution, Infinite HZ, SUPER OLED, SUPER HDR99, Super Ultra Mega Low Motion Blur, And Free Sync... 200$.

25 inch, 800x600p, TN, 30hz, and G-Sync...7000$.

Pretty sure I'm correct.

Anything above 144hz is unnoticeable IMO. Even going from 100 to 144 I can't tell any difference so I usually lock to 100 and then max settings. Gsync does make a difference with tearing though, which can be distracting with FPS.

My 2 cents these g-ysncs are totally worth it. I bought a Dell g-ysnc UHD monitor before I bought my GTX 1080. With a non-TI GTX 1050 2gb the quality of the picture on COH 2 was massively improved without tearing. It's especially apparent when you are stuck in the 25-40 fps range. With the gtx 1080 it's not so useful. The worse the card the better the improvement.

I was deciding between this and the 27/1440/144 dell. Went with this one instead. The picture quality next to and OLD ultra sharp 2713h, isn't so bad.

My only issue was that coming 27/1440 I had to get used to going back to 25/1080
