60-80 degrees? What is this, one layer of linen?

Sleeping bag temp ratings always seem weird to me. If I take a mid-weight bag on a cold weather trip, I just sleep in more clothes. Or vice versa, but I don't think my camping buddies want to wake up to my naked, sweaty body on top of this bag in 80-degree weather.

Or do they...

OK, I'm solo camping from now on.

THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL SLEEPING BAG!

Anyone considering this, please realize that sleeping bags are rated in SURVIVAL temperatures, not comfort. It's common to see bags rated to 40F, that you'll freeze your arse off at night anywhere outside FL. And yet, here we have a bag rated to 60-80F? This is little more than two layers of windbreaker material. It looks like a drawstring backpack that a bank would give away at a trade show. That fact the term "sleeping bag" is being used for this is ridiculous and possibly all out dangerous to the uneducated. Don't buy this for anything more than children's playtime in the bedroom.

How's this for indoor use? Like if you're travelling somewhere like a relatives house, but there aren't enough beds for everyone? Would it be too hot? Easily damaged?

Sounds like a crappy deal. I'm not an equipment snob.

This is advertised as a 'compact' warm weather bag. This is fine, except the packed size is actually pretty big - 7 x 7 x 12.5 inches, and 1.8 Lbs. That is pretty heavy for something that is only good for 1 season.

I recommend this other recent SD deal instead (might be dead for some?) for $15... It is 'rated' at a lower useful temperature, packs smaller, lighter, and only ~$3.50 more.

https://slickdeals.net/f/11223483-amazon-lightning-sale-ultra-lightweight-terra-hiker-compact-sleeping-bag-30-x-76-in-15-39?v=1

And for those of you wondering what is the point of a warm weather sleeping bag: Some people like to sleep under blanket for various non-heat related reasons. Also, this is good for guests in your own home when you run out of beds. Also, some people are germaphobs and want an extra layer of protection in hotels.

The reason it is ok to get really cheap sleeping bags for summer camping is that it is non critical. If there is a hot or cold spot, or if the zipper fails, no harm done.

But to be honest, I think you can get cheap sleeping bags for ~$15 at Walmart and Mountain Warehouse (if you have this store nearby).

Does Amazon calculate the pre or post coupon price, in regards to getting free shipping with minimum $25?

Quit the whining. This damn thing is 12 bucks. Take away is don't f****** compare it with the one that costs $120. Get it for the purpose that fits your need. I got two of these for my kids. They're freaking loved it.
