That's concerning. I was a huge fan of cheap Chinese phones. But they are hard to find parts (things like cases, and screen protector) and repair services.

Stay away. This will drop a lot after all the big guys' flagship announcement

Not sure of this. The Mate 9 is still $400-500 bucks on Amazon.

400 and 500 is like close to 40% off MSRP. Your call, man.

Also I like how they support project treble on mate 9. I like the company. Their software is not as bloated as samsung experience

Hopefully they support treble on this mate 10

Does anyone know if their payment system is as versatile as samsung pay - which is use-able without vendor end hardware.

calling Huawei a "cheap Chinese phone" is an exaggeration. it was #3 brand WW in 2016. sad we don't see it much in US due to almost monopoly of the big carriers on the device sales
btw huawei in USA gives 12month warranty on its gadgets

Huawei is a solid brand and the Mate series is very well built.
The mate 10 pro has an amazing camera, you can checkout the reviews online and see for yourself.

i've seen quite a few horror stories online regarding warranty process with Huawei so while they may offer 12-months, it's a totally different case if you can even get any service at all.

i like mate 9 esp its large battery. but it's still at ~450 and 1080p screen? would consider if it falls below 300. agree that they don't seem to drop that much in comparison to LG phones like the V20. suspect this mate 10 pro might not drop as much neither.

Got the mate 10 for a $1 cheaper from another ebay store. Was brand new. Lovin the phone. Every review I've heard gives it either 4 or 4 1/2 starts outta 5. Much better camera than my crappy over-hyped Sony XZ1 compact.
