The 15 inch Dell XPS with 4K touchscreen display 16GB Memory and 512GB SSD is priced around $1500 . I have seen lesser price for that model from DELL EPP and Small buisness before.

For the configuration posted in this deal, I haven't seen a lower price . It is priced around $2k everywhere else

It is already available in the market for the 13 inch version. For the 15 inch version , they have launched the 8th gen cpu in the xps 15 2 in 1 aomw daya back and the same will be available starting March 2018. However, I am not sure when it will be available in the regular xps 15 model.

Woo! Seems a bit too rich for the ordinary user! Does it do anything so much better than a gaming laptop that one can get for half that price? Just curious

Every time a Dell XPS 15 goes on sale people feel the need to talk about how expensive it is.

Yes it is an expensive laptop. Yes you can buy laptops that are cheaper than this with faster processors, a better video card etc. No it doesn't make you coffee.

This laptop is a premium quality laptop. It is extremely light weight and gorgeous looking.

Is $99 for the Squaretrade warranty worth it. It says it covers accidental damage.

Ok I did some research

There was a deal posted here that had a Dell XPS 15" for $1500 from the Microsoft Store, identical specs except 16GB (instead of 32GB here) and 512GB (instead of 1TB here)

Microsoft Store XPS 15 model with 2 year Microsoft Accidental Damage = $1650

Costco XPS 15 model, double RAM and Storage, 3 year Squaretrade = $1900

So for $250 more you get double the ram and storage and an extra year of warranty, making this deal much hotter

Also this same model is selling (on sale) for $2200 on Microsoft's store

Btw for anyone interested: Costco sells SquareTrade 3 Year accidental warranty for $99. SquareTrade sells 3 year accidental warranty for ($350 and $430 - deductible and no deductible respectively)

Meaning this Costco deal would save you at least $250-350 off the warranty.

Warranty savings + $400 off the Microsoft Store sale price for this identical model = $625 off retail

How does the Radeon Pro 560 with 4GB memory stack up to the graphics in this laptop?

The Macbook Pro 15", 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and Radeon Pro 4GB = $3000 after tax

Want to add the 1TB, you are looking at $3500.

So this Dell XPS is $1000 cheaper with double the storage and RAM than the closest Macbook Pro....is it worth to pull the trigger?
