It's like Super Meat Boy (same developer) and more recently Celeste. Basically a hard platformer where you have to avoid spikes and learn the level/route to take to move on. It's fast paced and generally gets good reviews.

I'm hoping this style of indie platformer where you die a million times just to make it through will die itself soon.

Same here. I like a challenge, but I don't find it rewarding to continually die just to finally beat a level due to either luck, perfectly timed jumps, or memorization.

Damn. Glancing at the thread title I thought the Switch was being discontinued to a closeout price of 19 bucks!

Yeah, I don't like this genre, so I hope they stop making them.......... Really?

Was someone holding a gun to your head and forcing you to play them?

I think it's incredible that we live in a time where the video game industry has gotten so huge and diverse that a studio can survive by making niche games like this. Even if you don't like them, I still think it's something to be excited about.

I don't like dating sims or Hatsune Miku games, but I'm sure as hell not upset they exist.

You wouldn't have liked gaming in the 80s and 90s.
