I bought this from Tyler tool and it came with 6x 5ah batteries and the 55" guide rail. Everyone else just has with 4 batteries. Shipping was free and I didn't pay any sales tax.

Is it just me who thinks that cordless track saw is weird? If you want clean straight cut on sheet goods like melamine and plywood you would want high rpm and decent power. For everything else cordless circular saw and straight edge is good enough.

Awesome deal.

The kit comes with two batteries, and there are two offers (see more offers under price) that automatically add 4 more batteries and the rail to the shopping cart.

This is an incredible deal. I purchased the Home Depot bonus combo that had 4 batteries and a track. I have not opened and used it yet so I will return all of the pieces and take full advantage of this offer. Thanks OP.

I prefer corded saws for most things as well.
But this really shines on a rooftop.
It does have the power, it's brushless and 36V, not 18V.
This seems like a very good deal. If I had the space to hold it all, I'd buy.

I don't see the extra third and fourth batteries in my cart. My cart only shows the Makita XPS01PTJ + Makita BL1850B-2 (two) batteries + Makita 194368-5 free track.

I also got the $499 home depot kit but haven't used it yet, would be nice to get yet another set of batteries for the same price

Really great deal. If it was such a steep discount on a corded or a DeWalt cordless saw, I'd jump on it. But I don't really want another battery system for one tool.

Can sell the batteries for like $360 in 3rd party markets, which makes for the bare tool saw and track for $140. Really nice

As a CA framer, I've never seen anyone use a track saw on roof sheathing. Even in NYC, where the only time they ever snap a line is at a Jet's game....

Looks like the "free track" also includes 2 batteries if you read the description.
So, it is original saw includes 2 batteries, first offer has 2 batteries, and second offer includes 2 batteries AND track.

It's a cool build if you haven't checked out Jimmy DiResta's new shop:

Put the item in your cart. The two free items both say "FREE Makita Two 18V Battery Pack and Guide Rail" where one item is the 2 batteries and the other item is the rail. I agree the product page suggests 4 extra batteries but I won't take the chance since the cart description does not match.

Oh. You're right I did not read the description. 36v and 6300rpm will have enough chooch for clean cut. But still… in the shop you would have the dust collection hose, so the cord is not a big deal, and it's not a field tool, using track saw in construction is like hammering nails with the microscope.
I guess, if you have Makita tools setup and in need of batteries it would make a decent buy. Otherwise - corded grizzly could be 1/3-1/2 the price with two tracks.

I agree, the track is 92.99 and when added with the saw you get 2 batteries. So in total is 4 batteries not 6. I was about to buy and sell the saw tool only, would love to add 6 batteries to my lineup. I don't want to take a chance on just 4.
