23&me has garbage results. Also, 23&me has the most accurate results.

Basically, the TD : DR is DNA testing still isn't perfected. The end of the video has a statement from 23&me saying their algorithm just recently improved, but as-is their results only have 50% confidence. If you want higher confident results, you'll get less, more broad data. This is the approach of the Helix 2.0 National Geographic test btw.

P.S. Ancestry wasnt perfect either.

They used a triplet sisters for 23&me and their results while definitely similar, were not exact. In fact they had the largest variation of percentile results. They also had quadruplet sisters try 23&me and their results were almost the exact same with 0-2% difference. The other tests from Family DNA and Ancestry were used with 2 other triplets and had results more accurate than the first 23&me triplets had, but not as good as the quadruplets.

Lol, somebody doesn't like the problems with these things pointed out.

The gist of all of these ancestry type kits is that they're not very accurate, nor consistent. Use them for entertainment only and with a grain of salt.

For those who need several kits, Ancestry.com is showing the kits on sale for $69 also. However, it lists "Buy 4 kits, get 1 free" as well. (Which works out to just over $55 per kit.) I didn't place an order, so not sure whether or not there is free shipping.

Just got back from vacation so only just saw this. Its not that they are inaccurate consistently. Its that most of these companies sacrifice accuracy to get more detailed results.

Completely BS numbers, but as an example you could have 5 companies all test the same DNA and they all will get within a few percentage points of the basic genetics. European, African, American, Asian and so on. Where they start to differ is when they start exploring what kind of European. Eastern, West? Are you North American or Southern? Then its starts slipping drastically from there - Cuban, Mexican, Brazilian? Slavic, Austrian?

So most of the DNA companies risk accuracy so that you can see if you have 2% Jewish in you or if you are 43% South American, but 18% of that comes from Chihuahua and the rest Nicaragua.

The Helix 2.0 Gives you at best only two levels deep. Western European, East Asian. Not the most informative or "entertaining", but certainly very accurate. They also dig deeper to find out the time frame of how your DNA came to be. You get to follow the path your bloodline took to get where you are today. That isn't provided by the others and I found it much more informative.

Still, I agree - don't place bets or exile someone based on these results.
