Beats a previous frontpage deal by $5.

Considered one of the best open backed headphones under $150.

I ordered this 2 weeks ago and still haven't received it. Neweggs Super Eggsaver shipping has gotten really bad lately. In the past they would say 4-7 bus. days but I would always get it in 2 or 3 days.

I paid $70 for these on amazon awhile back but no regrets. These are still my go to headphones for home. I Love them. I use them more than my planar magnetic headphones lol.

I'm the opposite, these things are collecting dust as I am using a $10 headphone in which I'm only using to block out ambient noise lol

I think they're delivering by foot/bike/public transit lately. LMAOLMAO

Prefer 9500s, amazon sold 34.99.

I could use another set of headphones, but I find it hard to believe some of these claims. I have a $150 budget, and I own HD650, HD595, and Grado RS2.

How do these compare to the Sennheiser HD598, or Grado RS80e that I've been considering?

Any statement of something in audio being better than anthing "x times the price" I find pretty ridiculous. I liked these better in almost every way than the best senns I could find to close to the price, 558's I think they were, but others don't like them at all. Someone already said they found a $10 pair they like better...

Seems like you have enough exp. with HP to know you have to try them for yourself to see, and IDK what you're looking for in these, or what you expect coming from 595's though

Combine with the V-Moda Boom Pro microphone and you have the best non-used sub-$100 gaming headset out there, IMHO. Huge soundstage and kills any "surround sound" gimmick.

HM5 pad replacements are nice with these as well.

Why would you spend $50+ to buy an open-backed headphone for the purpose of blocking out noise?

That's like buying a Bugatti Veyron to go off-roading. >.>

What claims? These are nice headphones for $50, will not do anything magical, and I found them to sound better than the 598c's that I sent back to Amazon. The are big, comfortable, and "could" save you $100, though I think you are just searching for something different?

Headphones are electroacoustic transducers made for the purpose of generating sound. If I bought a hammer when I need some pliers, the hammer would be collecting dust too. Did you try earplugs?
