I got in on this deal maybe around a month ago--chicken won't be ready for like 6 more weeks.

This is a NO-BRAINER.

Yes, you can find chicken breast for .99/lb once in awhile but, is it hormone-free, cage-free and antibiotic-free ? I'm no animal rights activist or anything but, cage free is how livestock should live. The only thing they cannot claim is non-GMO feed because of possible cross contamination.
You get chicken for as cheap as it gets and you can feel good knowing you're not eating laboratory made chemicals or making chickens live in crammed cages. I guess the only downside would be those who don't have a pickup location close or don't have freezer space. Picking up March 23rd, thanks OP.

I recently found Zaycon via SD. I've got chicken coming in March and Ground Beef in April. I'll let peep know my thoughts when I get them.

Yes, it will be. The USDA does not allow hormones to be added to poultry sold in the US.

Cage free is a start, but they're still confined to a limited, very crowded space...where all sorts of things can happen. Free range gets them some outside time...

This is a 30 mile drive for me each way to pick up chicken in June, so it makes little sense unless the quality is there. Any advantages in flavor/taste vs store bought?

Where does it say cage and antibiotics free?
Hormones are prohibited in poultry sold in US by law...

Do you work for them or something? Those are all buzzwords. No one uses hormones on chickens, cage free means next to nothing, and the chickens are free of residual antibiotics which is a requirement of all chickens. There's a reason this is labeled as "natural" and not "organic", because literally all chicken can be labeled as "natural" but most isn't organic. I'm not saying the quality of this chicken isn't great but being hormone free and antibiotic free doesn't mean anything, all chicken is.

What can I say, it tastes like chicken, lol. No really, it's perfectly fine chicken but you're not going to get chicken anywhere this cheap.

Debating on canceling from last time it was posted, reviews are pretty bad on the chicken ( they used to be good but even long time buyers complain of chicken being tough and chewy and a lot of waste to trim
