TPG values them at about 0.6 cents...YMMV of course, but it'd certainly be worth a ton more than the annual fee for the first year

If you're going to make at least $15,000 in card purchases, the free weekend night reward alone pays the $95 annual fee.

I don't think it's limited to a category, but it needs to be a weekend night (friday, saturday, or sunday).

That's very good for $95 if that's the case.

If I already have the chase reserve, should I get this or wait for something else to fill the 5/24 spot?

I think this would depend on if there are any restrictions on the hotel category. Keep in mind one of the ubiquitous 2% cash back cards will net you $300 cash on $15,000 in purchases so you need the hotel night to be worth more than $205.

FU chase 5/24 rule. Amex has their policy and never rejected my application. I applied for this card and it is on its way. I think if you can make most out of 100 k point by being little creative. I will do my research later.

I'd probably get another chase card like the Ink. https://slickdeals.net/f/9205591-chase-ink-business-preferred-card-80k-points-w-5k-spent-in-1st-3-mos

Here is what the points are worth to Amazon: $30.82 (15,411 points) available.

So 100,000 points is about $200 of points. If you use the points to rent a room a 100-200 a night room would go for 40-50,000 points.

Awesome, thanks OP. Wrapping up a 10 week stay at Homewood suites will be awesome to charge it back to this card. Amex gives you temp card when approved.
