I tried buying belts online and it's not enough to be made with genuine leather. The brand actually matters. My good belts that last and last are made in the US from the Gap. They have coupon sales regularly but still gonna be at least 15-20 each for a work belt you're gonna actually like. Not saying it's the only place that's good, just saying that the brand makes a huge difference in quality and I'm a major cheapo.

I bought these last time and they are terrible. Started tearing after second use. Would not recommend.

I have seen a lot of "genuine leather" belts from China fall apart within a few wearings.

Genuine leather is genuinely bad. It's the worst quality leather there is. That said, there are varying qualities of genuine leather but these likely won't last. If you want a belt to last you are looking for full grain or too grain leather. These will last forever with minimum care, but they will cost more, but figure 10 belts over a few years at five bucks per belt and you could have at least a decent full grain belt. You'll end up spending more in the long run on genuine but it does require a higher up front cost.
