I just went to Costco because I need a gaming laptop and wanted to see what they had. This seemed to good to pass up... Costco gives you an extra year on the warranty (so 2 year warranty from day 1) and if you use your Costco Citi Card they give you an additional 2 years.

If you buy on their website there is $10 s/h charge... But my store had tons in stock

Because this is Costco there probably will be tax for you (I paid tax in store)

I just built this on Lenovo's website and the Configure price is $1,309.99 and they have an item discount of 140 so total of $1,169.99

No warranty that doesnt cost atleast 1/3 the price of the device covers that.

It covers the same things that the manufacturers warranty covers.. but for 2-4 years instead of 1.

Warranty
-Covers faults / problems you experience with hardware or software.

Insurance

I would say that Costco's "Concierge" warranty is a little more than just an extended warranty. I steered a friend to Costco for a high-end Dell XPS (cheaper there than from Dell) and she had problems with the XPS right out of the box. Dell was giving her the runaround and I told her to call Costco. Within the hour of her call to Costco Concierge services, she had a Dell tech (level 3 or 4) and a Dell manager falling all over themselves to help her. These online brands DO NOT want to do ANYTHING to jeopardize the thousands of unit they can sell through Costco.
And this is a great deal OP - reps.

Thanks. I have never had anything but good experiences with Costco all around. I actually went in with hopes they still had the ASUS ROG that was the same specs for the same price. The ROG has a RGB keyboard and DVD Drive but this one has 2x the storage space on both harddrives so this one was a WIN in my book.

Just bought this to be shipped 3 to 5 days. Originally bought the model just under this one but figured for an extra 150ish and double the specs, why not? For a costco noob...is there a way to check for stock in store on the website? If they have this in stock then might cancel and buy in club.

No but you purchase Square Trade directly from Costco, 3 years of accident protection for $100

Cant beat it as it costs $250-400 regularly from SquareTrade.com

15" 1920x1080 resolution screen in 2018 is kind of silly. Small 12" chromebooks and laptops have higher resolution displays. Your phone probably has more pixels. It might not matter as much for gaming but this would be a bit of a pain as a productivity or media processing machine.

Since it's a 15" screen, the resolution is fine for most people unless they have a specific need for a higher resolution (and those people would know what they need).

Only way is to call the store and ask. Costco stocks based on regions and deals so they may never have the same thing from week to week
