Load a LED bulb in there. No risk of burns.

Just saying, bought few of these from local 99 cents ( not the 99 cents store) at $1.98 each.

Looks like plastic from the pics, also I use to have a bunch of these and they were also plastic.

Where at? Was a clearance item or something?

You're mentioning this as if someone can possibly replicate your deal but you don't give much info. You say it's not a 99 cent store, but where?

About $1.50 cheaper than HDX version from Home Depot. I had purchased the HDX one last year to have a light in the garage that I can plug into a smart outlet that I can control via Alexa or an app. It's been good so far. Maybe I should pick another one up to have on the other end of the garage.

Not a bad deal for a 5.5" with a switch on it. I placed in my Cart until realized it is an add-on and I can't think of anything else to get today. Thanks OP for posting.

Ended up getting the Walmart 8.6 Inch for $6.47 which is rated at 150 watts.

This pic [media-amazon.com] looks plastic to me.

I think your probably a little safer buying HDX than this one.

Picked up the same one in store to screw a recent led grow light I picked up on SD. Works fine. This style is ugly but so is the color of the light from the bulb!
