It's wild how much Vizio tvs have come down in price. I bought my 52" Vizio for about $2000 back in 2006 for comparison. It's still going strong but weighs 150 lbs.

We have a 70" and a 50ish" Vizio E-series. We love them both. No complaints. I use the Vizio app to control the tv. I can also cast anything from my phone to the tv with one quick tap.

No tuner, and company has been sold to overseas company who will replace Chromecast with its own flavor of smart tv. So basically vizio is gone.

Its amazing how some people just try to crap all over Vizio with no research. 3 guys at bestbuy yesterday tried telling me the same thing and they are wrong. Vizio is not being purchased anymore. The merger fell through nearly a year ago.

Agreed, in my opinion Vizio TV's are up there in quality with Samsung and LG, if not better. The picture quality and color reproduction on their TV's are excellent even on lower end models like the D and E series. Can't say the same about LG or Samsung on their low end TV's.

Vizio used to be the cheapo brand introduced through walmart, but it seems their quality has skyrocketed since.

I didn't want Vizio to get bought out by Leeco back then, and I'm glad the merger fell through. Leeco's TV's were decent and had android TV built into them which was pretty cool too. Still though, I'd rather have Vizio stay vizio for peace of mind of future purchases.
