I am planning to upgrade my current monitor (Dell S2716DG) to a new one with IPS panel (also 2k and 144mhz+). What is my best option?

Your only real options at 1440p is either the Acer Predator XB271HU or the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG279Q. You just missed a deal on the Acer a few days ago IIRC.

Is there a reason u want a IPS panel? I actually prefer VA panels as they generally have more contrast and will look better than a IPS unless viewed from angles which is IPS strong suit but for a monitor I'm usually sitting directly in front of it an never even notice the difference because I'm never sitting at a 20degree or more angle. If it's for the lag, I can't really tell a difference in my IPS vs Va panels unless I'm in a FPS an even then I have to really really be looking for it anyways if your trying to save a little dough an not a competitive FPS gamer then check out the VIOTEK monitors. Don't let the off brand fool you there great monitors. I have this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...psc=1&th=1

Tempting. I'm looking to get a secondary monitor to use on the side.

Have that monitor and it's AMAZING. If you can get it for $400~. It's one of the best purchases I made for my PC.

It can vary by monitor models, but IPS panels typically have more lag when compared to VA and TN panels and are also display a more accurate color representation.

This is my current dilemma as I've been using my BENQ XL2420T w/ LightBoost and I can't stand any lag. I'm thinking of just getting the Dell S2716DG next sale as I would like to jump up to 1440p/Gsync and don't think the "lag" is worth the color reproduction in my use case with going IPS. (I sit directly in front of my monitor at all times)

@Sir_Doge if you plan on getting rid of your monitor lmk

I picked up two of these open box from micro center, for $70 plus change each. both work great with a home made vesa mount solution. so check micro center if you have one closeby, the new ones there were $14x last time i checked. their open box has great deals sometime

Buy or wait for 1440 monitor deal? My laptop is 1440 and I'm honestly not sure I can tell the difference between 1440 and 1080.

Isn't this the same monitor that was $85 on BF and $129.99 for the entire month of December? It's regular price is 149.99 now, and so many thumbs up for $140?

I mean can't get it now. Personally, need to purchase now so it's a solid deal on a nice 27"
