Monoprice has their mini 5-watt guitar amplifier on sale for $13.99 + shipping.
It appears to be their own labeled version of one that sells on Amazon under several brands for $25 or so.

In addition to being a portable amp, it can also record to a microSD card and supports aux input as well.

These little amps are handy when traveling, or practicing in the car over lunch, etc.

If you pad the order to $25 with cables and such, coupon code 5GAME will take $5 off $25.

The sound for intended purpose is just bad, make sure you can return it

Here is a video of some guy playing a song from the internal MP3 player, and playing along:

at this price it may be useful as a headphone amp instead of buying a FiiO.

Sucks balls? How? Lousy tone? Doesn't work? Not loud enough?

I'm giving it a shot. I picked up the Danelectro HoneyTone, but the speaker crackles every few seconds with no input signal at all.

In my case, I'm looking for a small amp to let me practice in the car during lunch, and something compact to drive headphones if I'm traveling. I'm not expecting any bass in a speaker that size, Assuming it works without crackling all the time like the Danelectro, it seems like a fair deal.

What is wrong with the Vox ones? I got the bass and acoustic electric versions for my son and nephew and they said they loved them.

Mine came in a couple of days ago. Works great for the intended purpose of practicing in the car or in a hotel. Quite loud enough for those purposes, or run it through headphones.
