Cost breakdown:
  • Set up a device payment plan (DPP) as follows, on a new or existing line:
    • $12.99/month for 24 months
  • You can:
    • A) pay off the full balance owed for the phone after 15 days from activation date ($12.99 x 24 = $311.76)
    • B) keep it on the payment plan for the full 24 months if you want
    • C) go as many months into the payment plan as you want, then pay off what's left on the remaining balance whenever you want.

Other costs:

That "$350 early termination fee" line is a hold over that Best Buy's never gotten rid of from the 2-year contract days. It no longer applies. The 24 month device payment plans allow you to pay them off in full anytime after Best Buy's 14 day return period (the early termination fee thing has been brought up before in other Best Buy/Verizon phone deals). They also don't charge an early termination fee for their service plans anymore either. You pay them month to month these days, cancel anytime.

They raised the price back to $19.99/mo at 12am Central, when Best Buy's next business day starts Frown
