Select Walmarts have hunting gear on clearance - mostly archery (bows, arrows, arrow tips). Sacramento CA Walmart had quite a bit of stock.

If you can find one for $100, it would be a good deal.

They had far more than just bows. They had arrows, arrow tips, strings, sights, etc

The associate I spoke with in the sporting goods section (I was buying clays) said they just went on clearance - and expect some more hunting stuff to go on clearance in the coming weeks, fwiw.

Yes, but now isn't when the prices will be best. The last 2 years I have been able to find quite a few crossbow bolts for $1-$1.50 if I wait until March or so. Right now the clearance prices seem to be around $4, at least near me.

I also picked up a bunch of arrows and crossbow bolts for $1 to $1.50. NOW it's finally time to buy.

***EDIT*** BTW, The clearance prices on the arrow/bolt display were about double what the real current clearance price was. I recommend getting the Walmart app and you can scan or type the barcode to get the real current clearance price. Scanning is pretty difficult on bolts/arrows with my phone. It tends to only focus on the background since they are so thin. Putting them up against a close background helps, but I still had to type some in to get the real price.

I also got some arrow and bolt field points for 75 cents /10 pack. They were not in the sporting goods area, but in a general clearance area over by the seasonal area where they put the grills and such.

I did too, and It's weird. One of them had a peep sight installed, the other does not. There was one that I left that had a loose bottom cam that also did not have the peep sight.
