Ugh this again. How have those overcome the challenges introduced by having vaulted ceilings with Atmos? I'm NOT doing wonky speakers that fire up into the ceiling but would hang 4 speakers however. They technically wouldn't be in-ceiling but hanging-from-ceiling. Is this even feasible?

LOL...and so suprised you didnt start this thread for this monthly( perhaps weekly?) frys deal

I guess we both surprised each other

I am good though...
Bought the X7200 for only slightly over $400 more( all in) than the price in this thread...from an authorized dealer in a sealed box

cool. so you only paid about 40% more and got a model that has been around for three plus years!

Denon and Marantz keep their flagship models around for multiple years and offer updates
Meanwhile with the low to mid tier models you are out of luck for any changes

I thought you of all people would have know that.

Currently have a 4520ci which I love and do not want to get rid of, but I'm really getting sick of having to use ARC through HDMI to get surround from my 4K OLED. Does anyone here on a 2017 LG OLED and one of these Denon receivers? Using Arc via HDMI I get choppy Audio playing Dolby Digital plus files through Netflix, Amazon, Plex. Trying to figure out if this is an LG / Denon problem across the board or just with older models. The 4520ci is a tank made in Japan 150 watts per Channel so I think this would be a bit of a downgrade aside from Atmos and being able to pass 4K. I believe this model is made in Vietnam.

I had a couple of Denon 4520's at a point in time...and yes its a tank

Never had any issues with Samsung, Sony or Vizio Tv's

Are you using a cable or satellite feed?...and if so does it work better than the audio from the LG OLED's apps?

I have a 2017 OLED B7A with a Denon x3300 and have no problem at all using HDMI ARC. Stream Netflix and Prime Video from the LG to the Denon and do get Atmos when available. No choppiness at all.
