Fix ?

12 10 February 10, 2018 at 05:55 AM
I have an HP laptop that has developed a problem. Black screen with white vertical lines. Not sure if it is worth fixing or if I would be better off just getting a cheap replacement. I purchased it cheap as a deal and it's a decent laptop. It's the Star Wars special edition i7. Not a Star Wars fan but was a fan of the price, Any thoughts? Thanks.

Any thoughts? Yes.
1. "Fix?" was a really stupid subject for your post.
2. Would be helpful for you to include the model number when asking tech question.

With so little information we really can't help you. Model numbers are really important. It sounds like the screen may have physical damage. You may be able to plug the laptop in to a external monitor and use it that way. It would be a good step to test further. I agree the subject here is so vague. We are not mind readers.
