I have an A860. Is it worth the upgrade?

If you need the extra channels and power then maybe, otherwise probably not.

I use an A830 and it's probably my favorite piece of audio gear (and I have a lot). The aventage line sounds great and I've not had a single issue with mine in four years or so

Great price. Add in that this is a reputable dealer and the deal is killer.

Adorama's rear photo is wrong compared to the Yamaha site. Looks like component out is gone on the 70's.

In fact these new receivers are starting to look a bit bare on the back compared to just a few years ago.

Big advantage is they have 9 powered channels vs 7 on lower models if you want Dolby Atmos 5.2.4 capability.

I have a Best Buy gift card. Will they match price after using a promo code?

I've been thinking about upgrading to an Atmos receiver. I have a Pioneer Elite SC-67 that I've been very happy with. I'm really considering this.

So I was waiting for this deal for a year... last summer, I bit on the denon 4300 for 800 plus 100 gift card from Newegg ...

Now I run a 7.1.4 set up. I absolutely love it and can't imagine how the aventage could be better. Would I pay 2 times what I did for the Yamaha... likely not but I don't think you'll go wrong with the aventage.

The point of my message might be just to say check out the denon 4300 or 4400.

FYI I did add a 2.0 amp to boost the 9.1 to 11.1.

Who thinks x080 series will get parts of HDMI 2.1 spec? Variable refresh rate is mostly what I care about.

Nice. Very clever in the 2.0 amp to bump it up to 11.1.
