Hi, not usually a deal poster but here goes.

Samsung Electronics UN40MU6300 40-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2017 Model) $299,90 if you have Amazon prime. Searched and it was a deal back in November at about $320.

Here is the rtings review.
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/mu6300

I know that model year closeouts are coming up in March, but this seems like a pretty good deal right now. Lowest price on the comparison website (camel X 3) was $397 in January (So I wonder why I was able to find that earlier deal listed at @ $320?)

Anyway, best to all slickdeals folks. Most of y'all are great!

** Edit...somehow hosed up the title, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Sorry!

I have the 43" version of this TV , HDR isnt as good as my Hisense but the input lag is good for Xbox one X. The smart features are awesome, it has Bluetooth, the remote is universal remote that controls my Xbox, can stream tv screen to my phone.

Out of stock. But you can go for the 50" for $430.

By the way, why are the prices of these TVs falling so fast (and I notice there are some much higher priced models in the market) ? Glut? Folks loaded with too many HD TVs too fast?

43 has IPS panel. Good viewing angle but bad contrast.

Isn't this the same as the 6290 which has been half this price at Walmart?

6290 gives up One Remote and Bluetooth for wireless audio.

It is, I got the 55MU6290 for just $399+tax at Target a while back & then I just bought a $15 Bluetooth adapter from Amazon. Also, somebody a while back posted that this model does have Bluetooth capabilities, but that it just needed to be activated in the service software. Which is not the same as the menu features by the way. felt it was just much easier to purchase a Bluetooth adapter though.

It should be noted that this method is more cumbersome than built in bluetooth.

That's true, but it works fine for my purposes. Which is Bluetooth keyboard & Wireless headphones for night listening. I also purchased the TCL 55S405 for $369+tax a little while later & I think the HDR looks a little better. However neither compare to actual real HDR playback from my LG OLED65C6P that I purchased just over a year ago. Unless you have a 4K HDR Smart TV that has a true 10-Bit color panel, you'll never get the best HDR picture possible. In fact, I think HDR10 looks better than HDR Dolby Vision.

Except that's only because true HDR Dolby Vision is supposed to be played back on a TV set with a 12-Bit color panel. However, I don't think technology has gotten to that point yet or at least they haven't commercially. So when it does come out it'll look much much better than HDR10 or even by that point HDR10+ or HDR12. So basically overall HDR Dolby Vision is the superior HDR.

On a side note, I'm actually still waiting for LG to release the update for WebOS 3.5 & HDR Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) & Technicolor for my 2016 OLED model. It was said at CES 2017 that all 2016 OLEDs would'be getting the update. I don't know though if I'm supposed to go to LG's website & download it myself or if it'll be a OTA update.

Too bad your not my neighbor. Pretty sure we'd be geeking it out on the regular.

This TV is ok. Its an 8-bit panel so you wont see the benefits of HDR. I had it for a couple days and returned it for the 8 series. The one I got also had terrible light bleed from random spots around the bezel. My wife and I noticed it as soon as the credits started rolling on a movie we watched.

I have the 6290. Both the 6290/6300 go on sale 3-5 times/year at this price. Picked mine up in April of 2017. It was the BEST investment I've made in PC gaming ever. The 40" 4K makes a great monitor on the cheap. Highly recommended!

Very easy to enable Bluetooth, and you can buy the remote on ebay if you want it
