Does this truly have the height stability function?

How on earth does this support flight paths without GPS? I worry about doing them with my Phantom, can't imagine how it would go with this. Anyone have one?

It's probably more like controlling the quad with your phone by drawing on it or something for 100 feet, you know, another useless gimmick. Sort of like its likely too small to even fly outside in any wind condition but you could draw a route inside your kitchen.

Not a fabulous deal. There are more useful quads out there in the $40 range with barometers, which all of these use for height control. It's not really height they are measuring, it's changes in air pressure.

Well, any of these quads that have pov on a phone, dont expect it to have any range with the pov. secondly, when they have pov, a lot of the time the camera is super junky. A .3 mp camera is worse than the standard 2mp camera you find on most cheap non-pov record to an sd card quads. Thirdly, if you plan to fly it outside dont get anything smaller than a mini-quad.

And, never fall for app control on a toy quad, it's going to be crappy and a waste of time.

Non pov quads to look up:

Syma x5c-1 with 2mp record to sd card camera <$40 (most popular toy quad ever for a reason)

Cheerwing cw4 with 2mp record to sd card camera, auto hover, auto land, superior build quality and stable imaging. <$50.

Pov quad to look up
E-achine e58. A tiny knockoff of the dji mavic. Autohover, auto land and a 2mp pov camera available. $50 from overseas

Jjrc H31. It's a great quad to learn manual mode on. Cheap and has strong motors. Most cheap quads never last me more than a couple of months. This one is still going strong and I am almost to a year. It can be found for as cheap as 20 bucks. Comes with extra blades and a neat looking controller with LCD screen built in. Also it's water proof which just basically means lite rain won't hurt it. It also has prop guards which have saved me multiple times.

Seller has less than 1000 ratings? . Can anyone confirm please. If so, violating sd rule?.

Edit: I take it back. More than 1K ratings there for the seller.

I haven't previously heard of the e58. It looks neat but I have had issues with foldable drones in the past. And it's 79.99. I was suggesting the jjrc H31 because I have had lots of experience with this one ( I have ordered 5 of them for my friends) and it's very inexpensive. You can beat the mess out of these and they keep ticking. You can get them for less than 25. Nice to learn on and it's not small like some of these other cheap ones.
