From Anandtech, sounds like it's about equivalent to the 850 EVO.

Quote :
The SanDisk Ultra 3D is priced in between the Crucial MX300 and the Samsung 850 EVO. This matches their relative performance. The performance advantage of the 850 EVO is quite small for most real-world workloads, so its premium mostly buys you a longer warranty and the proven maturity of a product that has been on the market for a long time.

$20 less than Newegg. Comes with 3 year warranty. How long is the sale for?

Not a bad price, but also look at the MX500 if you're in this market. It's currently only ~$5 more on Amazon, it's a rock-solid drive with 5 year warranty and great performance. I run them almost exclusively in my machines.

Just curious, when you say "this SSD", do you mean the Crucial or the SanDisk?

Agree, I just picked up the 1tb mx500 last month. Great drive, great warranty.

I also just had a mx200 fail on me recently after about 2 years. Crucial replaced it with a brand new mx300. No refurb!! Great experience.

They are one of the best in the game for support in my experience as well. Never had any of my drives fail, but did have some of their ram fail, and after explaining that I'd already performed tests they didn't make me the through a bunch of hoops (like most companies insist on), just sent out a replacement to swap out, very little down time.

Thanks Archie Bunker, that tells me all I need to know.
Plenty of youtube videos around. Easiest upgrade to a pc. Assuming you have the slot, sata cable and power cable available. The software piece may be tricky but sandisk might have included software.

B&H photo has the same crucial drive for $5 more (of this Sandisk), and compared to the same price on Amazon, B&H doesn't charge tax outside of NY and NJ.

I'm buying from B&H!!
