Nintendo Switch Dock Set - $72.99 plus tax @ Target and Amazon

Cheapest I have seen this official offering go beyond various YMMV clearance deals (retail price is $89.99). Still rather expensive, but a good discount for those that want another dock but would prefer OEM to avoid potential complications from alternative third party offerings (some have experienced charging and display issues, etc). This set from Nintendo does come with a power adapter and HDMI cable as well.

Could save even more with red card or other usable promo codes.

I bought this one instead and it works just as well. There also is no concern about the dock scratching the screen like the official dock has had issues with. I also like that it shows off the screen. The only thing it is missing from the OEM dock is that the connector is not spring loaded" so it doesn't jump out when you undock it. I got it on sale weeks ago for $35, so I bought one for each of my TVs. Now I can easily play Zelda on any TV in the house.

I know this is technically a deal, because it's the cheapest I've seen it. But when you can get the Insignia dock [bestbuy.com] from Best Buy that works just as well, or this one [amazon.com]that's even better for on-the-go for half the price, I just can't give this a thumbs up.

True there are cheaper options, but people have had issues with the one from Amazon not working and apparently the Best Buy one is a really tight fit if you used a screen protector (plus it's not spring loaded for easy docking as noted above).

In my opinion it is still higher than it should be but is the best quality / reliability bet. If you read the SD thread on the last insignia deal someone's switch died using this dock. Not worth the risk IMHO but still good to have options though!

I have the Insignia one and my Switch has tempered glass screen protector and Nyko kickstand but still it fits in the dock just fine.
On the deal, 20%off Nintendo dock is a good deal but again having the Insignia as an alternative is probably the reason why the official dock is on sale.

I too have the insignia dock and still using it daily with no issues on a glass screen protector. Great for going between rooms with the switch

For my bedroom tv I bought the insignia dock from best buy, a USB C extension cable and a right angled usb c connector. Paid about $45 for everything. Connected the right angled connector to dock, the extension cable to connector. I just plug in the other end of extension cable to my switch whenever i want to play. This setup completely avoids having to physically dock the switch on the dock. Smilie

That Amazon one doesn't work. I bought one and it's just been sitting there doing nothing because I don't have any other USB c devices that need to be hooked up to a screen.

Wow $73 for a cheap stand and a proprietary USB connection. Nintendo 🥜 huggers are made out of money!
Proprietary? It's USB C...

I bought the same dock a few weeks ago, returning it because it will only charge, not display. I've purchased 4 different 3rd party docks now, and only one has been reliable. OEM is the best, except for traveling.
