Yup, I was bummed for the beltway store, then checked the Vienna, VA one and got two. They weren't nit pickey about buying more than the limit of 1.

while this may be a good deal for a high speed card.

My experience with the lexar microsd cards has been bad.
I bought 2 last year, both endup being RMAed in a few months. ( they started to have recording errors on certain spots. when the camera tried to record there if would corrupt the file and I would lose the footage. Meaning the entire file would be useless. Also the number of bad spots would increase. I know this from me leaving the bad file on the card so data will not record over the bad sector location. Then I could record fine until another spot became bad.

It would not be too bad if this was the end of it. Later I Rmaed another of the replacement cards. Now I am replacing the other replacement cards ..

anyone have any problems like this with sandisk microsd cards?

I am just using these in a gopro at 1080 recording.
I have only used 100 times to record on.

while their warranty process is simple, the do lie when they state they replace card upon arrival. No, they do not, they only ship a replacement card 4 - 14 days AFTER they receive the bad card.

remember if you had recorded potentially embarrassing data on the card try to do security erase before sending it in even if you delete the files.
Other wise a new adult video may end up for sale on the internet in a few days.

Sorry about your experience, that sucks! The thought of losing precious images worries me greatly. I have been using a 256gb Lexar 1000x SD card in my DSLR for probably two years now with no problems and a 128gb for even longer in the wife's mirrorless. I now also have a Lexar XQD in there as well and have had no problems with any of them. I have had a SanDisk fail in the past as well as a Kodak card back in the day but I've also had plenty of SanDisk cards that haven't failed.

I have not had any san disk cards fail so far. And on this one, They said they will not be shipping out replacements for at least two MORE weeks.
That will make it 3-4 weeks before sending out replacements on RMAs.

according to similar posts on the internet, that is very common with their RMA dept.
I have to wonder if they are shipping more RMAs then new product.

Also,
Last year in June 2017 Micron announced discontinuing the Lexar division.
THEN in Sept 2017 Lexar was purchased by the Chinese Flash storage company Longsys
according to support all sales people and tech was laid off.

Lexar makes (or made) some great cards.

I have five 128GB 633x microSDXC cards in Street Guardian dashcams continuously for over 3 years now with no issues. Some previous Sandisks had some recording issues.

I have had a few Lexar 133x SDHC and SDXC cards that worked flawlessly for video recording and playback. I have had a few Sandisks fail.

I had several Lexar "Pro" Compact Flash cards in SLRs that worked great. I first switched to Lexar because I had issues with some SanDisk cards.

It's a shame Lexar was sold off...

the last card I sent in to Lexar was a 64 gb U3 . After near a month, they sent a U1 card.
I contacted them. They said they n no longer make they model in a U3 since 2015. only a U1. I told them Lexar does actually make a U3 card. I gave them the model number.

They refused to send me a replacement card.

I then filed in small claims court for $200.
They responded with certified letter stating they no longer make U3 cards. and as such they only have U1 cards available.
They stated I did not understand this simple thing and I should just accept the replacement card.
1) they do not understand it is illegal to replace a product under warranty with an inferior. one. U1 writing speed is 10mbs vs u3 at 30mbs . U3 is recommended for 4k recording.

2) They do actually make U3 micro sd cards.

3) they actually lied in the letter they sent. This will be great in court. I hope to get Treble damages, which in United States law, is a term that indicates that a statute permits a court to triple the amount of the actual/compensatory damages to be awarded to a prevailing plaintiff. Treble damages are a multiple of, and not an addition to, actual damages..

It is not very hard to find multiple Lexar part numbers for U3 skus being made and sold now.

I am really looking forward to court. Then I will post in forums including images of products and the letter. maybe someone will do class action on them
