(Back again) Homekit compatible Insignia wifi smart in-wall light switch @ Best Buy for $24.99 + tax

On sale again at Best Buy for $24.99. I know the reviews are not good, but if you use Homekit to control these switches (and NOT use the Best Buy app), it will work great (if you read the negative reviews, almost all are using the Best Buy app). I have 3 of these switches in my house (and will be buying more this week) and they work great with the Homekit app. Cheapest Homekit compatible switch out there. Here is the link to the Insignia switch:

Thanks for posting. Can you tell me if it requires a neutral wire?

The Q&A on the page says you need one. I've never seen a smart switch that didn't require one because the switch needs constant power.

The iDevices dimmer switch does not require a neutral wire

I installed 5 of these last time they were on sale. They have been flawless with Homekit. I only used the Insignia app to add them to my network. I'm buying 4 more now that they are back on sale to finish off my house. I only wish they had a 3 way version. I have two 3 way lights in my house and needed 2 Leviton switches and 2 Leviton matching switch remotes for those lights.

Yes. My mistake, I think I meant the Leviton Decora Smart Dimmer.

They also require a neutral (white) wire. I have installed a Leviton dimmer in my kitchen.

Third time is a charm. It's the Lutron Caseta: https://www.amazon.com/Lutron-Wir...B00XPW6824

highly recommend these. From all the smart home stuff i own, these have been the only thing that has worked flawlessly! Set it up once, and havent needed to worry about it/adjust anything.
It Integrates with Google Home easily, not sure about Smartthings. The Insignia Connect App is also good. *basic, but functional with no issues.

Surprisingly, the nightly schedule i had on this (I use it for my porch lights) was the only thing that continued to work when my internet went down for about a week

These don't require a hub at all to connect to HomeKit?

These will work as-is without a hub, but without scheduling etc (if you use the iOS app). They will basically be a wifi-controlled switch. Not sure how they work with the Insignia app. Or you can use an iPad, AppleTV or Homepod as a hub.
