One of my favorite 3D presentations as of late. Pretty close to Pacific Rim imo. Not the greatest execution for the story and characters, but not terrible. Thanks OP!

Went in to this movie expecting a lot and left disappointed. Temper your expectations. Visually it's stunning but that's about it.

Yeah, it was a real shame. Ghost in the Shell deserved much better treatment than a brain dead formulaic Hollywood plot. It's a shame it couldn't have had a better script and been done with the same artistry and perfection as Blade Runner 2049.

Pacific Rim is my reference 3D. GitS isn't quite there.

Agrees. But I have no problem with the script and plot. Remember Blade Runner 2049 is losing money too, though I thought it was a great movie. It's possible for a good movie to lose money, and GitS isn't a good movie to begin with. GitS lost more than 200 million dollars because they refused to cast the lead role to an Asian actress. This was a Japanese movie and Japanese as main role. It's guaranteed to make at least 150 million in Asia. Instead it grossed only 29 million in China and even less elsewhere in Asia. Kong Skull Island grossed more money in China than North America, all because some Chinese girl was playing a very minor role. Now we're getting a sequel because Kong made so much money. It's a shame GitS failed so badly.
