I know not everyone can get access to aafes deals, but just passing this one along for those of you who are looking for a decent budget gaming laptop.
It's hard to find a sub $400 1080p laptop with a decent vid card.
the 460 is just slightly worse than the 1050 performance wise, in most categories it's a wash.

All in all not a bad deal. For sure not the latest and greatest, but I got mine for $359 after using 2 rewards gift cards I had from them.

Dated, and not that great CPU. GPU is actually pretty good but this thing seems like it would eat through that battery. I don't see a claim on battery life but this looks like a 2 hour laptop if I had to guess.

From a newegg review of similar model

Other Thoughts: - Battery has a bad tendency to overheat, causing charging issues. Be wary of where you place the power brick.
- Battery life is short. (2 hours at most, even with battery saver) Needs plenty
of room to breathe, but vented heat ok.

I'm wary of that processor too but it seems a lot better bang for the buck in the under $700 market than anything I'm finding at the moment. Have been looking at Dell refurbs with 1050s and 7th gen i5s for an additional 250 or so. Compared to those I'm finding this tempting.

It's good value at this price point, people just need to make sure it fits their use case.

For gaming raw horse power in most cases is what you want and the CPU on this delivers that. The GPU is also pretty solid on par with a 1050 which as mentioned by you is going to run you an additional $200-300. As long as your okay with tethering this thing to a brick cause of the cpu and gpu drain on the battery this will be a solid gaming bang for your buck laptop.

CPU is on par with an i3-4130 desktop CPU it seems? Not bad if the GPU is similar to a 1050...missed the deal but if anyone who got one and doesn't want it PM me Smilie Thanks!
