These are not open box. You can use the promo code to drop it down to $118.99.

Good watch. Just so you know, if you intend to heavily use the features (say workout tracking while offline GPS and BT streaming spotify playlist offline to your headphones) it will eat your battery. I still like it though for this price.

Also worth mentioning, Microcenter does price matching with Fry's but not on their daily promo code deals. Their call center in Ohio stated that they would but my local store would not budge.

I went in-store and was able to pick it up despite online inventory reading as sold-out, it is definitely a new, factory sealed box (not open box).

Ask an associate for assistance and ask them to lookup the Fry's Item number, depending on the model you want.

FYI Gear Sport is also availble at $229.99. Near me only one with black color is available. That is more traditional looking watch.

It will eat which battery? Your paired phone or the Gear Fit2 Pro?

Would like to know this too. How much battery per hour are we talking about if you use the Spotify playlist offline?

So I bought this watch because you can download Spotify playlists or libraries to its internal memory and it can then pair directly with your headphones without needing your cell phone.

I went for a run and tested the feature out and left my phone at home. Charged it before I left, downloaded a few playlists before heading out the door and it drained down to 87%. I then started a workout, went offline, turned GPS on and did a standard run workout on the watch which lasts 30 minutes. I did all of this while listening to Spotify offline (awesome). Not so awesome when I completed the workout and walked in the door 40 mins later with 35% battery.

I reset the watch to factory and have been selectively using features, which has promoted longer life. This is not the watch that you plug in occasionally and otherwise do not think about

I have the first version and I download my music onto the device because it doesn't have the Spotify playlist feature. Then I play it over bluetooth at the gym. I still get about 56% of battery left after a 2 hrs workout session. I think that is acceptable because I always put it back onto the charging cradle when I get home. In your case, I think the GPS feature is eating more into the battery. I can live without the GPS being used when I go running. Perhaps you should try to turn off GPS when you run to see how much improvement in battery life you will get?

I think you're right on the GPS being the main issue, and will probably just do that because I enjoy the watch. Can't complain for that price.

Hey does the GF2 download songs from your Spotify playlists and store them in its memory and play them later on? How long does it take for the whole process to complete? Thanks.
