Needed a new mirrored medicine cabinet and stumbled across this deal at Lowes. I found a Kohler 20" x 26" Mirror Medicine Cabinet [lowes.com]on clearance for $33.50, regularly $134. I purchased mine at the Issaquah WA location, and they had 2 more left even though Brickseek says only one. This cabinet can be recessed or surface mounted, and it does come with the extra mirrored sides for surface mounting.

I already started installing mine and I am recessing it - you build a support frame around it, so you notch or cut out the framing as needed.

ah ok thanks - looking for a smaller one that'll fit between studs for use in the separate toilet room for hygiene product stocking.

No, you can surface mount it or recess it, whichever you prefer. It even comes with mirrored sides to make it look nice if you want to surface mount it.
