There's a seller on eBay [ebay.com] that has them for $65 each for a 12 month pass. Not sure how many they have available, but I bought three (stackable) from this seller last week when they were listing them for $45 each for a 12 month pass.

They were physical cards and sent in the mail.

Eh to each his own.

Personally the "exclusives" I miss out on aren't that big of a deal. I think the Xbox Controller (especially the Elite) is the best controller ever made and worlds better than the DS4. I also own an XBX and that's the best way to play third party console games - of which there are tons (obviously). The final nail for me was my friends list. Its about a 75/25 split Xbox/PS4 for me. No brainer, would rather go with my majority.

All this talk of "saving" the xbox one is kinda weird in my opinion. Calling a console that's sold through 40M consoles a failure or something that needs "saving" is super mind-blowing.

Also speaking to the Japan thing - the Xbox brand (or for that matter American brands in general) NEVER do well on that island. Or even in that area of the world in general. Why support a region that doesn't support them.

Of course just my opinion I suppose.

If you cannot get the $5/month deal then this is definitely a good one. We're still over a month from SoT release so you'll need at least two months to enjoy a few weeks of SoT without buying it. They also have a riddle contest going where you have to figure out what game to play. Then play 5 hours of it for the first prize and 10 for the prize and a contest entry. In the past when I did the free trial the Ultimate gift was a $10 estimated value, though didn't looks at fine print this time.

just sign in to your account and click buy xbox game pass, it will show the price before confirming. if it's $5, you're good to go. otherwise, it won't apply to you and the deal posted here is the best you can get.

Xbox has been my least favorite console attached to my TV in the next gen. The lack of exclusives or anything that sets it apart has killed it, especially since I have a decent PC. Game Pass is quickly becoming something that can absolutely set it apart though. The promo for the first month for $1 and this 3 month for $20 is a step in the right direction. I would love to see this service proliferate and become the Netflix of gaming. Does Netflix have everything? Nope, but it has more than enough for the majority. I'd love to see Game Pass succeed.

Overall good deal. However I don't understand how people make good use of these game passes if you have data caps. If Comcast didn't impose data caps here a year ago, I'd be all over this.

If all DLC for these games is included, that would be the hot ticket.

Thanks man. Snagged on of these. I wrote it off as buying Sea of Thieves with the added bonus of other games.

You mean current gen. Wink

With owning all gaming hardware, I feel the exact same way. Ever since the head of Xbox changed near the end of 360's life, Xbox has not been the same. New head meant new direction and most changes weren't good. The Xbox One prelaunch policies (which were backlashed and changed), mandatory Kinect (also changed)... and the worst of them all imo was dumping Japan. Ever wonder why the PS4 has so many 3rd party console exclusives? That's the reason. Before the current Xbox head, MS used to invest heavily in Japan for OG and 360 so they were able to have lots of 3rd party exclusives even their homeland companies Sony and Nintendo can't get a hold of. Now, MS can't even get 1. To make matters worse, Scalebound was cancelled along the way as it was the only Japanese console exclusive for MS.

The decision to make first party games PlayAnywhere is a double edged sword. On one hand, PC gamers can finally have a chance to play these once console exclusives. On the other hand, there's no reason to even own the Xbox One if you have a gaming PC since everything is on PC and runs better than the console counterpart, including Xbox One X. So what little exclusives MS has is no longer exclusive with PlayAnywhere. People like me with all gaming platforms, Xbox One became 100% pointless with this program. For the last 3 gens, I've owned all hardware from all companies because of their unique exclusive software on each. Beginning next gen, it's safe to say I can skip the Xbox brand if the current marketing continues.

I'm not sure how successful the Game Pass will be to "save" the Xbox One console (the back compat which is quite a technical achievement certainly didn't) but it does seem to be better now with first party games at release included. It seems to benefit both console only gamers as well as PC gamers in conjunction with the double edged sword program PlayAnywhere. Only time will tell.

Eh to each his own.

Yep, and thanks to A-shit Pai at the FCC we can look forward to many more limitations coming in the future. People keep talking about how gaming is going to go 100% digital, and how streaming services are going to take over, yeah no. Not until net neutrality is restored that won't likely happen. In my city Comcast is the only provider, and caps our data at 850 GB/month.
