Read Slickdeals' review of the XPS 13: https://slickdeals.net/article/deal-guide/hands-on-with-slickdeals-dell-xps-13-laptop-review/

Yes, the 9360's with both the standard Dell "barrel" style power port and Thunderbolt 3 port CAN BE CHARGED through the Thunderbolt 3 port. The USB-C power supply has to be able to put out 45 watts (20 volts @ 2.25 amps). The Pixel Book 2 Charger works as well as the Apple 87W USB-C Power Adapter.

The "NEW" XPS 13 (model number 9370) is a COMPLETE update from the current 9360 but the high end processor is the same (8th Gen i7) So YES, BOTH the 9370 and the 9360 can have a 8th Gen i7 procesor. That aside, the new 9370 is smaller, lighter, has better thermal protection/cooling and now comes with a 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) screen. The 9360 comes with a QHD+ (3800x1200) screen. Plus the 9370 comes with 2x Thunderbolt 3 ports and 1x USB-C 3.1 (NO normal size USB ports), the card reader is now a Micro SD card reader (the 9360 is a normal size SD Card Reader). If you're interested in the 9370, go to Dell's website and look at the information, it's all there.

That all being said, the 9360's are SOLID machines. I have one and it is one of the best laptops I've ever owned (and this is from a former, very, very longtime Thinkpad user). Yes, the 9370 is a nicer machine but a fully decked out one (i7, 16GB, 1TB, etc.) is $2600 right now. Also note that NONE of the XPS 13s are gaming machine so if you're looking for 1,000 FPS gaming monster in a sub-3#, ultra-thin laptop, yeah, you can probably find one on a unicorn farm.

Also note that my 9360 XPS 13 has a Killer Wireless Card and I've had absolutely NO problems with it. Connects solidly everywhere, stays connected, reconnects quickly when the XPS comes out of sleep mode, I get great transfer rates, etc. Maybe there was a bad batch of Killer Wireless cards or something but apparently, some people have been having issues with them and Dell has been replacing them with Intel cards. Also, as someone else pointed out, you can just buy a Intel replacement card on Amazon for $21 or so if you are having an issue and your XPS 13 is out of warranty.

The new model is so damn sexy. And usbc charging is at the top of my list.

But this is great for those looking at it.

Yup - and I hate the term "digital nomad" but that's what I am, the ability to charge via an Anker power brick is essential

Oh shoot. I just bought a 7577 from Costco for $900 + $120 960 evo + tax.

Tempting to return and get this with 16gb RAM for $1065
Or
Get get new 9370?

Nothing's wrong with the 7577. It's just a little on the heavy side and I don't play PC game. Otherwise, it's good laptop.

Factor in Costco four year warranty if you used their CC

I think you meant to say "starting at $756" not "starting at $576" lol. Nice prices though!
