Caveat, I know nothing about drones other than a cheapo parrot mambo I got a while back. I have been looking for a good deal on a controller (smartphone controls suck!) and they always seem to be in the 29$ range for a used one.

I stumbled on this ebay listing from Tech-Rabbit which includes both the controller and some sort of parrot drone. For anyone who is looking for this controller, its a good deal when you get the drone included for essentially free. Again, I know nothing about this drone, but free is free!

If you buy the drone separately from tech rabbit directly, it is closer to 50$ and the controller itself is 29. Anyways, I hope this helps someone!

Does the flypad make it easier to fly? My son always wants to try and fly it, but I can barely use the smartphone controls. I am hoping the controller will help him to try and fly it a little.

Fyi, they are listing this as "used". I have bought refurbs from tech rabbit and always had good experiences, just not sure what "used" means.

Does anyone know which other Parrot drones that the flypad is compatible with? Would it work with their mini line?

Thanks for posting OP

The used condition concerns me. If it was refurbished it would not as much but does not say that.

In all honesty, I never trust the term "refurbished", like phones etc.. I would like to envision an army of lab coated technicians opening up each item , carefully pulling out each part, testing it on a multimeter or something, dusting it off, and putting it all back together. In reality, i suspect it is a room full of people brushing the dust off and slapping a sticker on the box. I would be curious to see inside an "actual" refurb shop to see what they do.

For this price, I am willing to take the risk on what is hopefully semantics. Either way, they seem to have a good return policy at least!

i was lucky with my return with them. my AR 2.0 did not have a battery, so i wrote them. they just refunded me. i did not have to return mine. so, i bought a brand new one at Best Buy. that was brand new with battery. only flew that once too!

Tech rabbit is I've bought from tech rabbit a few times now, always a good experience, their customers reserve is top notch. I bought 2 refurbished AR 2.0 from them during Christmas that came with dead batteries. They refunded me without having to ship back. This ad is strange though. Usually all of their ebay ads show used, but then state in the description that they are not used, they are MANUFACTURER REFURBISHED. This one does not state that, which to me means it is truly used, whatever difference that is. Either way, I still think the risk is nil due to how great tech rabbit are, just clarifying as most people are assuming it's a refurb which I don't think is correct

2% cashback from various CB sites and 8% ebay bucks offer available to some (I got my email yesterday). So net is about $27.

It's used but considering the sellers reputation I think it's a safe bet.

how easy is this for someone to fly who has found those tiny mini drones to be impossible?

is it good in wind or do you need like no wind?
