From Sennheiser: HD 58X Jubilee are a mix of DNA from the original HD 580 Jubilee (which were a limited run until we released the HD 600 with the same sound signature), the HD 650, and the treble extension of the HD 660 S

There are like no reviews for these headphones because they're not out yet so I would wait for reviews and then see what they say.

Everyone's ears are different. Reviews arent going to guarantee you'll like them. They are definetely worth 150 bucks
True but I would like to know how they sound before I buy it as people know what kind of sounding headphones they like to listen to. Some people prefer warm sounding headphones, others prefer neutral analytical sounding headphones, etc.

You may want to watch the hifi YouTube review linked in the deal post, might help with what you're looking for

yeah, it's because Massdrop has to place a group order to Sennheiser's factory to produce these with their production schedule, receive them, and then Massdrop has to ship it out. There's quite a bit of lead time between each process.

Just have the Sennheiser HD518's so might as well upgrade. I am usually patient enough for non amazon prime shipping, so we will see how I can handle waiting 5 months.

Wtf I don't doubt that these are probably really good cans (personally I'd go for the time-proven 6XX for $50 more) but reviews DO matter. That's why you have whole communities like Head-Fi or even subs on Reddit.

These cans DOES NOT come with the same drivers as the 580, these are completely new to the market possibly with a misleading name (58X).

Waiting for the reviews and comparisons won't hurt when dropping $150 bucks for a pair of headphones.
