If you are trying to watch your carbs/sugar intake/etc watch out for flavored jerky, or really flavored anything for that matter. That lemon garlic contains:

(straight from Kraves website well not the bold on the sugar bit)
Contains 2% or Less of the Following: Lemon Juice, Granulated Garlic, Spice
the rest is
Ingredients: Turkey Breast, Cane Sugar, Gluten FreeSoy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Alcohol).

So Sugar Turkey Jerky would be more accurate however this honesty would in all likelihood affect sales. 10 g of carbs on this and many of there other "flavored" jerkies. Their Sea Salt Jerky also has 10g of carbs from sugar for crying out loud. Beware these high carb count shenanigans don't stop with jerky either. Take a look at some of the tastier sounding Lean Cuisines, dinner-in-a-box type deals. You'll be reaching for the Lucky Charms as a "healthier" alternative in no time.

The beef jerky.'s second ingredient is also cane sugar. I frankly don't understand why they add so much sugar since I would think that would put off a lot of buyers like myself

I bought this some months ago. Did not like their jerky at all. One flavor gave me terrible farts, either chipotle or some other. But all the flavors ranged from Ok to bad, not one was good.

this product has pretty polarized reviews, you will either hate it or love it. it is soft and very sweet.

i really like their products

i think sugar makes most things taste good. they definitely load up on it in these products. if i was health conscious i would avoid these for sure, but i am not and like their jerky a lot.

From personal experience, this stuff grows mold FAST. You better eat it all once you open it. Mine were all purchased from Costco, so I was able to return.

I didn't look at the calories and nutritional label, but keep in mind that the meat could be 97% of the product, leaving you with a fraction of ingredients remaining, one of those being sugar. Now, if there is suddenly 15g sugar in a 2oz bag of jerky, there's a problem, lol
Edit: Didn't see the other post saying 10g sugar. That really is ridiculous. Frown

Glad to receive your report, but thankful we didn't have to endure that experiment with you 😂

I asked Krave about this a couple years ago while calling their jerky "candied meat." They told me the sugar content is so high in their products because if not, they would have to add other preservatives. This allows them to not do that. (I wish I could find the e-mail with the proper explanation, but that's the gist of it.)
